Canada Day is almost here. Our favourite holiday of the calendar year is celebrated this weekend – Saturday July 1st. From one side of the Central Okanagan to the other there will be a ton of Canada Day festivities to participate in. Enjoy the holiday, grab the kids, and go make memories as a family in celebration of the country’s 150th.
There are over 50 activities and performances that will be held in Waterfront Park, Jim Stuart Park and Kerry Park, as well as Prospera Place for locals and visitors alike to celebrate our nation’s 150th birthday. With over 60,000 people attending these celebrations in the past, this year watch for some special new activities in honour of Canada’s Sesquicentennial year.
Thanks to the community partnership between Festivals Kelowna, Folkfest, the Kelowna City Band and many activity partners, This year’s local celebration offers a huge number of activities for all ages and abilities to enjoy. Here are some of the highlights:

Although admission to the festival is free, donations are greatly appreciated and help support the costs of this celebration. Volunteers with donation bins will be located at the entrances to Waterfront Park and at the entertainment stages.
PLEASE NOTE – The Coast Capital Savings Fireworks, presented by the City of Kelowna and Tolko, have been POSTPONED to Saturday, August 5th at 9:30 pm.

The Canada Day Parade will take place at a new time for 2017’s event. The Parade will now begin at 4:30 p.m. with marshaling of parade entries occurring no later than 4:00 pm at San Clemente Ave and Lake Ave.
